Olympic Airshow

The Olympic Air Show occurs annually on Father's Day Weekend. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. and the air show is from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This event will be held at the Olympia Regional Airport, which is located at 7643 Old Highway 99 SE, Tumwater, WA 98501.

One of the highlights of this year’s Air Show will be a mock-fire demonstration from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources Fire Attack Demo. The demonstration will utilize modified UH-1H Huey helicopters and both the belly tank and longline water (bambi) bucket methods of fire suppression.

In addition to the Washington State Department of Natural Resources, the air show features performances by other world-class pilots and aerobatic teams, the PBY-5A Catalina, the Smoke-n-Thunder jet car, a static display of the Sikorsky UH-60A Black Hawk, food and merchandise vendors, a beer garden, and a variety of family-friendly activities.

The Olympic Flight Museum, which is hosting the air show, is dedicated to preserving the history of aviation and educating the public about the important role of aviation in our society. The museum's collection includes a variety of historic aircraft, from World War II-era planes to modern military jets. Museum guests can explore aircrafts and exhibits, and learn about the history of aviation through interactive displays and educational programs.
